Wound regeneration post of intravascular filler injection, a clinical case presentation

Tan Huey Shin

Abstract

Necrosis can result from arterial occlusion by direct injection into an artery or embolization of product, typically presenting immediately with acute pain and blanching. It can also occur due to venous occlusion from external compression of a vessel by dermal filler or subsequent edema and compression, more often with hyaluronic acid fillers. Venous occlusion usually presents later with dull pain and dark discoloration of the skin. After Acute Management of Intravascular Occlusion and proper patient counselling, wound management should be started as soon as possible, patient progress should be monitored daily. Combination treatment weekly utilizing 755nm Alexandrite focus lens array laser, Stem Cell conditioned serum, Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media, results in tremendous wound improvement post complication.
