Abstract

The classical approach to women economic perspectives has considered the role of women limited to bearing and rearing of children. Since the late nineteenth century, these approaches have been challenged as now women are increasingly being part of the economy and contributing to economic growth. One such contribution is of rising entrepreneurial activities among women. Within developing and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) it has led to substantial increase in economic growth as well as women empowerment. One such LDC is Nepal, and various Government and International organizations like UNESCO, World Bank and CUTS International have identified the rising trend of women entrepreneurs in Nepal.
