Abstract
Covid-19 has had a wide range of global impacts. We focus on the economic impact of this ongoing crisis through consumption, investment, tourism, trade and other channels, based on a comprehensive economic model that captures the global value chains, trade, production and consumption linkages, health economic impact, etc. Our results suggest a reduction in global GDP by 5.8-8.8 trillion USD, disproportionately affecting the poor.
