The Easter Egg: Acinar Cell Cystadenoma

Abstract

We report a rare case of acinar cell cystadenoma (also called cystic acinar transformation) in a 54-year-old woman who complained persistent and diffuse abdominal pain. Acinar cell cystadenoma it is one of the acinar cell tumors of the pancreas, which also include acinar cell cystadenocarcinomas and acinar cell carcinomas. Acinar cell cystadenoma is considered a benign lesion and no chemotherapy was carried out in our patient. Currently, she is still alive and is being clinically followed as an outpatient.\r\n
