Abstract

The hormonal reaction to exercise is depending on different factors, such as activity intensity and it is very suitable index for evaluating exercise pressure. The aim of this present research is survey of acute response of testosterone, cortisol and the ratio of testosterone to cortisol serum in one session of karate exercise in young elite karate athletes. 17 young karate players volunteers was attended in this research with the middle ages of 20.13±1.72 years, 173.62±5.28 cm height, and 66.97±3.24 kg weight were selected with purposeful and were attended in one session exercise for one hours with %85 HR max before and immediately after exercise, the blood were taken which survey testosterone and cortisol serum changes and the ratio of testosterone to cortisol in one session exercise, the T-test was used. Testosterone and cortisol were reduced non significantly immediately after exercise (P>0.05) but the ratio of testosterone to cortisol non significantly were increased (P≥0.05). With regard to non balance disturbing hormonal and increasing significantly ratio of anabolic to catabolic, activity with %85 HR max intensity suitable activities for increasing physical fitness and developing circulatory- respiratory endurance in karate players. Although it is need more researching about this.
