Synthesis of some new 1,4-dihydropyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazoles and evaluation of their biological activity

Abstract

Synthesis of a series of pyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazo les (4a-j) was achieved from acetoacetamides, name of aldehyd e and benzimidazole using refluxing with DMF and iso lated by methanol with high yield and purity. The pyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazoles of the products were supported by FTIR, PMR and mass spectral data.
