Synthesis of new 4-aryl-3, 4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones/ thiones/ imines and their antimicrobial evaluation

Abstract

A series of new 4-aryl-3, 4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones/ thiones/ imine derivatives (4a-r) have been synthesized by an environment friendly methodology. Their chemical structures were confirmed by means of IR, 1H and 13C NMR Spectroscopic techniques, mass spectometry and elemental analysis. Further they had subjected for the antimicrobial activity evaluation and they exhibited significant activity.
