Abstract
A series of complexes of type [R4M2] [(p-FC6H4)2SnCIBr(Y) 2] were prepared and characterized by melting point, elemental analysis, infrared and solution studies data showing (p-FC6H4)2Sn(IV) can expand their coordination number six in the presence of halide or pseudohalide ligands and the stereochemical studies assigned octahedral structure to the anionic complex.
