Abstract

A simple, cost-effective, environmentally, and convenient procedure for the synthesis of quinoline-4-carboxylic acid derivatives is described through a one-pot MCR condensation of pyruvic acid, various aniline derivatives, and differently substituted aryl aldehydes in the presence of sulfamic acid (NH2SO3H) (SA) as an efficient and recyclable catalytic system under mild reaction conditions in water.
