Abstract

The stability constants of complexes of rare metals La(III), Pr(III) & Sm(III) with 2-[3-(4-methoxy phenyl)-1-(4- phenyl-thiazol-2-ylimino)-allyl]-4-methyl phenol (MPPTMP-I), 2-[3-phenyl-1-(4-phenyl-thiazol-2-ylimino)-allyl]- 4-methoxy phenol (PPTMP-I) & 2-[3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-(4-phenyl-thiazol-2-ylimino)-allyl]-4-methyl-phenol (CPTMP- I) in binary solvent dioxane-water mixture at 30±0.10C, by applying Job’s method of continuous variation spectrophotometrically.
