Abstract

Refractive index measurement for the solutions of four derivatives of 2,3‐Dihydroquinazolin‐4(1H)‐one is done using Abbe’s refractometer. From the data of refractive index and density, molar refraction (Rm) and polarizability constant (α) are calculated. The values of these parameters and their variations are used to explain interactions taking place in the solution.
