Abstract

A series of new 3-aryl-4-phenyl-4,5-dihydroisoxazol-5-yl)ethanones (10-17) were synthesized by the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of benzalacetone and nitrile oxides generated in situ by the catalytic dehydrogenation of aromatic aldoximes using chloramine-T.
