Abstract
Reinvestigation of the acetone extract of Teucrium tomentosum yielded a new neo-clerodane diterpenoid teuctomentin (1). Another neo-clerodane diterpenoid Montanin-E (2) is being reported for the first time from this plant along with previously reported montanin-D (3) and teuflin (4). The structure of the new compound was elucidated comprehensively using 1D and 2D NMR methods.
