Abstract
Labdane-type diterpenoid, andrographolide (1) and p henolic, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (2), were isolate d for the first time from the stembark of Vitex pubescens Vah l. (Verbenaceae). Their structures were determined based on spectroscopic data, including UV, IR, 1 HNMR, 13 CNMR and 2D NMR spectra and by comparison with know n- relating compounds.
