Abstract

This research is about a particularly important step of the healthcare system which is Primary Health Care (PHC). PHC consists the first patient’s contact with the healthcare system. In the majority of European countries and other countries universally, PHC plays a significant role in healthcare system since it seems to be the base of an effective healthcare system. It is necessary to be advanced so as high indicators of health can be presented. Particularly, according to studies, the more advanced the PHC of a healthcare system is, the more efficient and effective the healthcare system is. It is true that PCH differs among the European countries and depends on various factors, such as socio-political, geographic, educational, cultural and economic. Furthermore, PCH can be provided by several ways. More specifically, there are countries where PHC is provided by Gps, countries where PHC is provided by health centers, counties that combine Gps and health centers and countries where PHC is provided by specialties.
