Integrate the Mitochondrial Genome into the Nuclear Genome

Abstract

The mitochondrion is not an ideal location for storing genetic information. Evolution has relocated most of the mitochondrial genome to the nucleus. Transferring all remaining mitochondrial DNA to the nucleus might be an effective approach to cure mitochondrial diseases and slow down aging.\r\n
