Saad Darwish, Fiona Smart

Abstract

This paper adds to the field of academic practice in a specific context – the Kingdom of Bahrain. The paper focuses on two case studies - “Community Engagement Leadership” and “Promoting Cooperative Relationships with Local Employers” - in the context of HEA Fellowship. Weaving through the paper is recognition of the challenge and opportunity which comes with enabling innovative leadership of value to universities, their students and wider society. In the context of HEA Fellowship it speaks to the imperative to share practice so that it might support professional learning as widely as possible across the higher education sector, thereby magnifying tangible benefits and inspiring readers to effect change of their own."
