Abstract

Single crystals of L-Threonine dihydrogen phosphate have been successfully grown by slow evaporation method. The grown crystals were subjected to single crystal X-ray diffraction studies to identify the cell parameters. The structural and optical properties of the grown crystals were analyzed by FT-IR and UV-vis-NIR spectral studies. Photoconductivity and dielectric studies were carried out to understand the response of the material to the incident radiation and dielectric behavior of the material. Vickers hardness test was also carried out to elucidate the mechanical behavior of the grown crystals. The second harmonic generation (SHG) behavior of the grown crystals was tested by Kurtz-Perry powder technique. EDAX and ICP-OES studies confirm the presence of phosphate in the crystal
