Abstract

We studied the growth of three vaginal lactobacilli in a de fi ned liquid medium under anaerobic conditions across the pH range 5.5-8.0. Growth and acidification profiles of the lactobacilli varied signi fi cantly. This model could aid the selection of strains or combinations of strains, with probiotic potential.\r\n
