Abstract
Paddy husk is a lignocelluloses source that can be converted to reducing sugars. Paddy husk was hydrol yzed using sulphuric acid (0.2N) at a temperature 65-70 °C. I t was observed that the degradation has significant effects with respect to amount of husk taken and in turn sugar y ield is around 40-50% each which is estimated by Be rtrand’s, Benedict’s and Lane-Eynon methods.
