Abstract
Introduction: Tobacco and liquor actuates age of free radicals and receptive oxygen species which are liable for high pace of lipid peroxidation. Malondialdehyde is the most generally utilized marker of lipid peroxidation. The point of the examination was to evaluate serum malondialdehyde level in oral pre malignant growth, oral disease and ordinary people. Materials and Methods: In this examination serum malondialdehyde was estimated by the technique for Ohkawa et al in 30 ordinary people and 30 patients each with histo-pathologically analyzed oral pre disease and oral malignant growth. Results: The mean serum malondialdehyde level in the benchmark group was seen as 5.107±2.32 ηmol/ml, though it was 9.33±4.89 ηmol/ ml and 14.34±1.43 ηmol/ml in oral pre malignant growth and oral disease, individually. ¬ Ere was factually signi cant increment in serum malondialdehyde levels in the oral pre malignant growth and oral disease patients contrasted and the benchmark group.
