Abstract

The effect of potassium permanganate on the activity of reduction and intensity of respiration in the plant sprout roots under salt conditions was studied. It was determined that there is an inverse correlation between the activity of reduction, intensity of respiration and salt resistance of plant roots. It was found that when soaking seeds with KMnO4 solution, it relatively eliminates the toxic effect of salt and accelerates the intensity of respiration.
