Abstract
The present study deals with the scientific evaluation and standardization of the Ayurvedic medicinal value of Adhatoda vasica Nees. The obtained value (ranges of physico-chemical) can be adopted to day down new pharmacoepial standards to be followed for traditional preparation of drugs of Adhatoda vasica. It is an antispasmodic and expectorant and has been used for centuries with much success to treat asthma, chronic bronchitis and other respiratory conditions. These plants have varieties of medicinal and pharmacological activities.
