Currency war and global financial fragilities

Suresh Chandra Bihari

Abstract

Over past few years one of the very important argument in global political and financial circle is how the US and China are managing their economies and monetary system. But lately this argument has gained new pace after the economic crisis of 2008 (which has increased the US unemployment approximately by 10%). Both the countries are facing a difficulty to reach at a consensus to tackle the problem. Especially towards the end of 2010 the situation has worsened much more and ultimately it has led to a currency war between some major economies of this world.
