Abstract
The heteronuclear bisligand namely 4-(2-(4-(2-carboxybenzamido)phenyl)-2-oxoethyl amino)-2- hydroxybenzoic acid (CPSA) was synthesized and characterized. The bisligand was designated as CPSA and its co-ordination polymers with Cu+2, Zn+2, Co+2, Mn+2and Ni+2 metal ions were prepared. The co-ordination polymers and parent ligand were characterized by elemental analysis, spectral studies, thermogravimetry, number-average molecular weights (Mn ), diffuse reflectance spectral studies and magnetic susceptibilities. The samples were also monitored for microbicidal activity
