Abstract

A simple, efficient and environmentally being method for the synthesis of 2-amino 4H-chromene derivatives was developed using Caesium carbonate as a hetrogeneous base catalyst. Three component reaction of an aldehyde, malononitrile and cyclic dimedone in ethanol at room temperature offered the corresponding 2-amino- 4Hchromene derivatives with excellent yields (80-96%) in a short reaction time.
