Abstract
Aquaculture is one of important sectors developing rapidly in the world. Aquaculture production amount have reached 47.8 million tones in the entire world in 2005. Aquaculture fishing is provides about by 33.75 % of the world fish production. Turkey is found at seventh level among EU countries in total production and at fourth level in aquaculture. In Turkey covering with marines its three sides, significant developments have taken placed in recent years concerning aquaculture fishing. The most important property of the Black Sea where is the biggest inside marine of the world has not recessed-protruding structures of its shores. The Vona Bay in Per?embe city of Ordu is one of a lot of sheltered marine regions in the Southern Black Sea. The bay has natural port properties and it is proper for Aquaculture activities. It is produced rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) in six different fields and five foundations. The province of Ordu is one of notable cities regarding marine fishing of Turkey. In recent years, the province has 2 % ratio within national production and it is found in fifth level after the foundations located in Aegean Sea. The production amount that is made in Ordu was seen a increasing about by 61 % in 2006 year in terms of 2000 year. In this paper, the present development of the aquaculture farms in Vona Bay was investigated and it was submitted some suggestions concerning continual processes.
