An empirical study on talent attraction evaluation of China western region

Abstract

Introducing and keeping talents have been a difficu lt problem in China western region. Based on this r eality, this paper focus on seeking the influence factors of tal ent attraction in twelve provinces of China western region referring to the talent attraction theory and the t alent flow theory. In order to determine the main i nfluence factors, we asked the expert by Delphi method to bu ild talent attraction evaluation index system for t he western region. To evaluate talent attraction quantitativel y in western 12 provinces and obtain its overall ta lent attraction situation. Next, to carry out comparative analysis of 12 provinces’ overall talent attraction situatio n and also comparative analysis of each province's internal ta lent attraction indexes. The results show that Sich uan, Shaanxi and Chongqing were routed to the top three talent a ttraction in the western 12 provinces, and the othe r nine provinces’ talent attraction was fairly basic level of significantly lower; Technology innovation and entrepreneurship condition, career condition and ed ucation development condition are advantage factors affected talent attraction of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Chongqing . These three factors are also weak short board of other nine provinces. This study can provide basis and referen ce for policy makers and other talent work in the w estern region.
