Abstract
Aim of the study is to determine the natural history, clinical characteristics, outcomes of invasive fungal infections by aspergillosis and Mucor mycosis in a tertiary centre of a developing country. This study is a retrospective, clinicopathological analysis of 20 invasive fungal orbital disease cases in a tertiary care multi-speciality centre enrolled over 6 months. A retrospective chart review of all microbiologically proven cases of invasive fungal disease was done. Out of all cases of orbital involvement 6 had undergone renal transplant, 11 had uncontrolled diabetes 1 patient had AIDS , 1 patient was on chemotherapy and 1 had haematological malignancy.
