A MISDIAGNOSED CASE OF OSSIFYING FIBROMA – A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Ossifying fibroma is a fibro-osseous benign lesion which usually occurs in mandible and maxilla but particularly mandible. When involving the maxilla or the paranasal sinuses , they show a very aggressive pattern. We report a case of 53 yr old female patient presenting with ossifying fibroma in the right upper posterior region of the maxilla , but clinically it had the appearance of pyogenic granuloma.
